Blogging about the things that I love to do including learning and implementing homesteading, sustainability and permaculture practices into my daily life. I also use this blog as an online journal writing about the day in and day out happenings in my life which include balancing family, work and the needs of the homestead, all while keeping in mind that you have to stop and smell the roses and count your blessings along the way.

New Job
I got the new job I was hoping for, I will be doing home health in a salaried position with a great deal of flexibility as far as my schedule goes. No more 12-14 hour days, no more not getting home until 9 at night and having to get up at 4 am and do it all again. I have to work my current job for three more weeks then on to a new adventure. On top of that great news the orientation is for a week in Clearwater Fl. near the beach and they put me up in a hotel for the week. Even though its an orientation it will be like a mini vacation. I am looking forward to it. Thanks for the good vibes sent my way.

Hello Laura, I just popped in from the Stick horse cow girl's movie review blog. I read your comment about the stories the retirees have... have you ever thought of writing and posting their stories along with their photos? I think it would be very interesting. Maybe their relatives would appreicate it also--kind of like a collection of their memories.
ReplyDeleteJoy thank you for your comment. Unfortunately there are huge privacy issues when it comes to patient care. I would have to have them all sign a release that would have to of course be reviewed by the hospital attorney. If I ever wanted to do something like that I would have to really do my homework from a legal standpoint.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea though, I really do. I may have to give it some real thought. I think someone could really build a business in my area (retirement heaven) as a biographer, oh that is such a good idea.
Congratulations, Laura!! Wow, I cannot believe you worked that many hours in a day. And here I am complaining about eight. Glad you will have a flexible schedule too!! Lucky you!! Good luck. :)
